Day 14

Green Spot Irish Whiskey Oily Shortbread Another whiskey with a pleasant aroma of bananas foster on the nose! There is a slight hint of cereal, spice, fruit and caramel. It is sweet, smooth and very delicate on the palate. The bananas foster and the cereal (barley) are very present along with a hint of honey and spice (possibly nutmeg or clove).

Day 13

Basil Hayden’s Dark Rye Night Cap? This is a Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey blended with a Canadian Rye Whisky and Port. This was one of the first whiskeys I started drinking and it piqued my interest in whiskey. It’s a beautiful dark amber color with an aroma of port and figs.

Day 12

Ardbeg An Oa Islay Scotch Brine Tea Islays are our preferred Scotch, so much so, that we even named our daughter Islay! Islay is a small island with only 8 distilleries; however, they are an entire Scotch region due to their unique flavor profile.

Day 11

TAHWAHKARO Cask Strength Straight Bourbon Figgy Cardboard This four-grain cask strength whiskey is high-proof and high-flavor. Fig and dried fruit on the nose. Flavor has a lovely balance of sweet, spicy and bitter. Pecan, fig, black pepper, smoke, molasses along with a big punch from the high alcohol content.

Day 10
